Mountain land
Mountain land
Mountains are places of scale, silence, and changing light. This section brings together photographs of mountain landscapes, valleys, passes, cliffs, glaciers, and remote highland territories.
The gallery includes works from Upper Mustang and other regions of Nepal, the mountain landscapes of Iceland and New Zealand, and the ranges of Gilgit-Baltistan. A special place is given to views of the great eight-thousanders — Nanga Parbat and Annapurna.
These photographs are connected by attention to landforms, rock textures, horizon lines, weather, and the sense of space where the human presence becomes almost invisible against nature.
