Polar bear

This section brings together photographs of polar bears captured in Svalbard, among ice, snow, cold sea, and Arctic light.

The polar bear is shown in its natural environment: moving across the ice, near the water, alone, and in quiet moments of observation. In these images, the surrounding Arctic space is as important as the animal itself — silence, distance, cold air, and the fragile northern landscape.
